Hairston-Gallant Family Reunion
August 4- 6, 2017
FAMILY IS NOT JUST AN IMPORTANT THING, IT’S EVERYTHING
Welcome “Home” once again, family. Come one, come all to fellowship, reminisce, exchange memories, have fun and enjoy each other. Yes, the time is drawing close for the gathering of family for out 36th reunion. We are looking forward to seeing everyone .
The host hotel will be the newly renovated Quality Inn – Dutch Inn, 2360 Virginia Ave in Collinsville, VA. 50 rooms have been blocked off in reservation to the Hairston-Gallant Family Reunion. The cost for a room is $64.33 per night (tax included). The price rate is good until July 24, 2017. We urge you to make your reservations as soon as possible, by contacting the hotel @ 276-647-3721.
Hospitality / greetings / auction / banquet will not be held at the hotel. On Friday, August 4th beginning at 3:00 pm please meet at the Heritage Event Center. The location is 1230 Oak Level Rd, Bassett, VA 24055. Directions from hotel are enclosed.
Note: Alcohol is prohibited on the premises.
The auction and business meeting will be held at 7:00 pm. Do not forget to bring your items for auction and your money to bid.
Annual dues are $10.00 per family member. Proceeds from the annual dues are utilized for bereavement cost when our family members unfortunately pass away. The annual dues also fund our Hairston-Gallant Scholarship program.
Saturday, August 5th - different events are planned at the Heritage Center.
A golf tournament is being planned for Saturday morning. More details will follow in future correspondences.
The banquet will be held at the Heritage Event Center at 6:00 pm. The cost is:
$18.00 - adults; $8.00 - children 6 to 10; $6.00 - children up to 5.
The menu includes: Baked / Fried Chicken; Sliced Beef; Ham; Green Beans; Red Potatoes; Corn; Salad Bowl; Rolls; Tea / Lemonade; Pound Cake; Chocolate Cake; Apple / Peach Cobblers.
A slide show will be available for show. All family members, please provide us with your favorite family pictures to be included in the slide show; please contact Sammy Dean Hairston @ 336-589-9983 or Gerald Gallant @ 276-358-0770.

Sunday morning, August 6th at 8:00 am, breakfast will be served at the Quality Inn – Dutch Inn. The cost is $12.37 (with tip and tax). The meal includes Orange Juice; Scrambled Eggs; Sausage Links; Bacon; Grits; Hash browns; Biscuits, Gravy, Tea or Coffee.
The family Memorial Service will be held immediately following the breakfast.
